Lab Report

A lab report is a document that is meant to state an argument which would eventually lead to persuade your intended audience. The main goal of a lab report is to provide your understanding of the report itself by making observations as well as creating experiments.

  • Title: The title should inform the audience of what the report will be about and it gain their interest so that it makes them want to read the rest of the report.
  • Abstract: The abstract basically is a summary of what the rest of the report will be talking about.
  • Introduction: In the introduction you would explain why you believe the work/research you’re doing is so important.
  • Materials: You’d want to include the certain materials that you would be using in the report.
  • Results: Write down the data that was found and write it on the report itself.
  • Discussion: This section would contain the results of the overall report as well as whether your hypothesis turned out to be true or not.
  • Conclusion: You’d want to summarize the main ideas that was provided by the lab report.
  • References: Include all of the sources that you’ve used for the report and write it down in APA format.
