A memo is a document that is used by many organizations who are communicating with other related businesses. Typically, a memo is used to communicate about policies, procedures, reports, or even contain some sort of proposal.
There are many things that are required in a memo and they are:
- Opening Segment: In this section you’d want to state your purpose of the memo as well as the problem you’re trying to solve.
- Context: Briefly explain what the problem is and talk about how the problem occurred.
- Task Segment: In this section you’d introduce possible solutions for the problem you’ve stated.
- Summary Segment: Try to keep it as simple as possible because typically memos are meant to be short.
- Discussion Segment: Provide strong evidence to support your claim .
- Closing Segment: In the closing segment you’d want to express what exactly what actions you want the reader to take after reading this.
- Necessary Attachments: Provide detailed information of your claim.
